Engineering Manager (AI Agents — Voice & Messaging, Outbound) | Ship MVP Fast (UAE/KSA)

Your mission

Design and deliver the end-to-end architecture for an AI outreach agent across voice and messaging, from first touch to booked meeting and CRM handover.
Own the technical roadmap and MVP, sequencing clear phases: ship fast and iterate from real-world results.
Lead and mentor the team: manage 3 existing engineers, set goals, tasks, reviews, and bring specialists when needed.
Drive experiments and performance: refine scripts, flows, and cadences; measure outcomes and improve daily.
Make vendor and build-vs-buy calls that keep us fast and protect strategic IP.
Run a tight operational rhythm with clear goals, rapid feedback, and crisp communication to leadership.

Engagement

Remote contract (Upwork welcome). Full-time or near full-time preferred.
Results-driven: milestone bonuses tied to working MVP, first booked meetings, language rollout, and scale targets.
Timezone: 4+ hours overlap with Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4) required.

High-level Success Indicators

MVP built & live in the first market by week 8.
Week-over-week improvements in pick up rate and meetings booked rate.

Your profile

Must-have experience

Shipped outbound conversational systems (voice and messaging) to production.
Real-time conversational UX (interruptions, handoffs) and practical use of LLMs.
Solid CRM/calendar/analytics integrations.
Proven track record leading 3–6 engineers to deliver production-quality business outcomes under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

Arabic/English experience and familiarity with GCC context.
Work with leading comms and realtime platforms; evaluation/QA practices for agents.
